Case Study: Brandini Toffee

The Story Behind the Company

In October 2006, Leah Post and Brandon "Brandini" Weimer set out to earn enough money to pay their way on a class trip to Italy. Within 6 weeks, they not only earned enough for their trip but spending money too! The experience left them wanting more and with the help of their parents, they started a candy company. It's not often that a product started by sophomores in high school gains national recognition on The Martha Stewart Show and wins the 2008 SOFI Award for Outstanding Chocolate in the same year. We're all very proud of them.

The first visual your company will likely need to produce is the logo. It is more than just a name and it's importance can not be understated.

As a gourmet food product, he goal was to create a logo mark that conveyed quality and depth, with a reminder of how the company was founded.

Package Design

3D Modeling allowed Brandini Toffee to work out design issues before the manufacturing stage. A prototype was developed from the illustrations and the final packaging is now on store shelves.

Video

After the kids returned from their well-deserved trip to Italy, toffee production continued and the community embraced the local entrepreneurs. It was often mentioned that "The Toffee Kids" should be on The Ellen Show. So, Alt9 produced a fun video to send to the producers.
